America’s long-running fascination with UFOs has taken a startling new turn — this time from the pulpit.

Perry Stone, a prominent Pentecostal evangelist with millions of followers, claims that U.S. government officials secretly briefed a group of pastors about what he described as an impending disclosure involving UFOs and extraterrestrial beings. The allegation, delivered in a viral YouTube broadcast uploaded on April 27, 2026, has fueled a storm of speculation across religious and political circles alike.

According to Stone, pastors from large churches were quietly invited to a private meeting in an undisclosed state, where officials allegedly warned them to prepare their congregations for difficult questions surrounding information soon to be released to the public.

“There were a large number of pastors invited to hear directly from U.S. government officials,” Stone said during the broadcast. “They were told: prepare your people.”

Stone’s account quickly escalated beyond familiar government secrecy narratives. He described alleged references to recovered craft “not from Earth,” unusual materials unlike anything known to modern science, and reptilian-looking entities reminiscent of science fiction films.

For many viewers, the claims landed at the intersection of religion, conspiracy theory and apocalyptic fear.

Stone framed the alleged disclosure not as evidence of extraterrestrial civilization, but as something darker. Drawing from biblical imagery, he warned of what he called a coming “great deception” — a spiritual crisis that could trigger mass apostasy among Christians struggling to reconcile faith with claims of alien existence.

He suggested that future government narratives surrounding extraterrestrials could even be used to explain events such as the biblical rapture.

The controversy deepened after Pastor Alan DiDio of Revival Nation Church publicly stated that similar meetings involving religious leaders and government-connected figures had indeed taken place. Other pastors have since hinted at briefings involving intelligence officials and members of Congress, though none have provided independently verifiable evidence.

The timing has only intensified public attention.

In Washington, President Donald Trump has repeatedly teased the release of what he described as “very interesting” Pentagon UFO files following renewed declassification efforts earlier this year. The Pentagon, meanwhile, continues to face mounting pressure over its investigations into unexplained aerial phenomena, now officially referred to as UAPs — unidentified anomalous phenomena.

Once dismissed as fringe speculation, discussions surrounding UFOs have steadily entered mainstream American discourse, moving from online forums into congressional hearings, military investigations and now church sanctuaries.

For some believers, the alleged briefings represent an attempt to prepare the public for unprecedented revelations. For others, they reflect growing anxiety in an era where mistrust of institutions, rapid technological change and apocalyptic rhetoric increasingly collide.

No official confirmation has emerged from the U.S. government regarding the alleged pastor briefings. Yet the viral spread of the claims underscores how deeply the UFO debate has embedded itself within America’s cultural and spiritual imagination.

And as speculation grows, so does a question once confined to science fiction: What happens if disclosure becomes real?
